TGBN response to the draft Waste Management Strategy

The aim of the subgroup is to focus on Construction and Demolition waste. With the introduction of the new waste levy by the State Government in December 2011 and the knowledge that 'much of the C & D waste can be a recoverable resource’ the TGBN would like to move forward a regional strategy by planning for action on C&D waste recovery solutions with other industry stakeholders, LAWMAC and the FNQ Regional Organisation of Councils.
